Charlotte Wührer grew up in the UK and lives in Berlin, where she writes and works as a freelance translator from German into English, specialising in film and theatre. She is the co-founder of the Sound & Word Network.

Her fiction and non-fiction has appeared in various publications, including TSS Publishing, Elsewhere Journal, Counter Service, Daddy Magazine and SAND Journal. She is anthologised in the 2018 National Flash Fiction Day Anthology and in the Love, Pride issue of Ellipsis Zine.

In 2018, she was shortlisted for the Mslexia Novella Award and the Cambridge Short Story Prize. She has also been placed by the Bristol Short Story Prize, the Berlin Writing Prize and the Mslexia Children’s Novel Competition.

In 2018, she was the first student city writer (stadtschreiberin) in Berlin, and in 2020, she received a grant from the Finish Kone Foundation to write at the Saari Residence.
